…Why I Joined APC From PDP, By Mimiko


Former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has joined the All Progres – sives Congress, (APC) at his Ward 7, in Ondo West Local Government Area Secretariat in Ondo City having resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mimiko was received by the Ward Executive, and the Local Government executive. The State Chairman of the party, as well as other top officials of party from within Ondo City.

Speaking after he officially joined the ruling party, Mimiko said: “There are a lot of good things being done by the President Bola Tinubu-led government, and though much more will still have to be done, I am coming in to lend my support to ongoing efforts to keep Nigeria on the path of peace, progress, and genuine development.”

He said: “The NELFUND initiative to democratise access to education is another commendable effort of Mr. President which must be applauded and for an avowed supporter of the State Police like myself, the current effort to decentralise policing as being pursued is another reason I am happy to be part of the current effort under Mr. President.”
