I’ll Become A Stay At Home Husband If My Wife Earns More

Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has stated that he would not mind becoming a full-house husband if his wife earned more than him.

Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, Okanlawon said if his wife became the main provider for the family,  he would quit acting to concentrate on taking care of the family.

Regardless of conventional gender roles, he stated that his top priority was to continue being beneficial to his household.

According to Okanlawon, some men experience discomfort when their partners make more money, which frequently results in uneasiness and sensitivity over trivial matters.

He went on to say that having a stable income would make the arrangement feasible and that, despite his lack of cooking skills, he would be ready to handle childcare and household chores.

Okanlawon said, “I pray to God. My wife runs a business that earns between $1 million and $10 million per year. You won’t see me act again.

“I will become a house husband. I will take my children to school and even cook, despite not knowing how to. If there is money, I don’t mind being a house husband. If there is money? What are you doing again?

“I find that a lot of men are not comfortable with that dynamic, so they become hypersensitive and complain over little things.

“My only prayer is that, as a human being, regardless of gender, I should be valuable to my family.”
