Umahi To Present Tinubu’s Infrastructure Achievements To APC NWC

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, on Tuesday met with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over plans to present the infrastructure achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu before the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

The meeting, according to the statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Works on Media, Francis Nwaze, centred on fixing a date for Umahi to formally brief the party leadership on the administration’s achievements in road and bridge construction nationwide under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Nwaze quoted the mister as saying, “The projects have continued to attract commendations and positive reactions from Nigerians across different sectors.”

Nwaze said, “During the meeting, Umahi commended Yilwatda for introducing a process where ministers appear before the NWC on live telecast to account for the progress and gains recorded by the administration.

“The minister also praised the APC National Chairman for the successes recorded so far, especially the peaceful conduct of the party’s primaries and the inclusive disposition of the NWC in ensuring that aspirants were given the freedom to contest.”

Responding, Yilwatda applauded the Minister for the ongoing transformation in the nation’s infrastructure sector and assured him that the NWC would soon invite him to formally present the administration’s achievements.

The APC Chairman noted that even before the official presentation, members of the committee and Nigerians had continued to witness the massive infrastructure drive of the Tinubu administration through television reports, public feedback and visible projects across the country.

Umahi also assured Nigerians that the Tinubu administration remained committed to overcoming the nation’s challenges while sustaining critical infrastructure development nationwide.

“Meanwhile, shortly after the meeting, the minister proceeded to personally review and address the developing situation at the Eko Bridge,” Nwaze said.
