Toyin Abraham Denies Re-Arresting X Influencer, Big Ayo

Nollywood actress and producer, Toyin Abraham, has refuted claims linking her to the re-arrest of an X influencer, Big Ayo, following an online altercation between them in 2024.

On Tuesday, Abraham took to her social media page to respond to the widely circulated allegation, saying the news report was false and misleading.

The actress asserted that she was not involved in any arrest and was on a movie set when the rumour started.

“Arrest Ayo as how, pls this is fake and false news. I’m on set filming. Pls kindly disregard. I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me.

“Thank you, and I will advise to kindly take this down pls,” she said.

Abraham’s reaction followed a post shared by an X user named Khan, who claimed that Big Ayo had been re-arrested at the actress’s request.

Another X user, Prince Adeshina, refuted the report, asserting that Abraham was at a filming site then and had no link to any arrest.

Reacting to the allegation, Adeshina said, “For the attention of the general public: Toyin Abraham was at a movie location and did not arrest Ayo.

“We urge the general public to consider the circulating report as fake news. Furthermore, the author of said report has been put on notice that, when called upon, he will be required to present evidence to support his claims”.

New Telegraph recalls that the speculation dates back to July 2024, when Abraham took legal steps against cyberbullying.

She had mentioned at that time that Big Ayo, not an X user’s mother, was taken into custody after making derogatory comments about her family.

Big Ayo’s contentious post charged Abraham with utilising politically connected funds for personal issues. Abraham supported involving law enforcement then, referencing ongoing online assaults and emotional turmoil
