…Scores votes to floor Osifor
Presidential Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential primaries election held across the 23 Local Government Areas of Benue State.
Saturday Telegraph reports that President Tinubu contested the primaries alongside Osifor Stanley Osayamen.
Declaring the results at the Collation Centre in Makurdi, the Chief Collation Officer and Governor of the state, Rev. Father Hyacinth Iormem Alia, said President Tinubu coast to victory with 374, 787 of the total votes cast, while Mr Osifor scored 79, 077 votes.
Governor Alia thanked the leadership of the party in the state, and everybody who contributed and worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of the President Tinubu at the primaries.
He commended President Tinubu for his sustained support to his administration and promised to double the votes at the general elections.
