The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) aka Shi’ites yesterday staged a rally in Bauchi, calling for justice for Palestinians.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 5th International Conference on Islamic Thought, Zeenatuddeen, the wife of Shiites leader in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, urged Muslims and Christians to unite in confronting oppression and promoting justice across the world.
She said injustice any where threatens peace everywhere, stressing that all prophets were sent to establish justice and resist oppression.
The conference, which lasted three days, drew participants from several African countries and featured discussions on global conflicts and human rights.
Following the event, thousands of participants marched peacefully to the CBN Roundabout in Bauchi, chanting slogans in support of Palestine and condemning Western powers over the conflict in the Middle East.
