Nigerian music producer, Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabasa, has rejected the idea that the secular world is intrinsically sinful, encouraging Christian artists to pursue professions in it.
Taking to his verified X handle, ID Cabasa said the idea that the devil controls secular space is untrue and is meant to deter Christians from engaging in popular entertainment.
The music executive maintained that since the planet and everything on it belong to God and sin and carnality belong to the devil, Christians have the freedom to work in all fields, including music.

He wrote, “If you are a Christian creative within the secular space please pay attention! There’s an agenda to dissuade you from taking that space with a lie that the devil own that space!
“The devil owns Sin and carnality ‘Yes.’ But the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof.”
According to him, the world’s wickedness endures because there isn’t enough light, so Christian artists should work in the industry to combat it.
He added that the space’s negative energies could not defeat the effect of Christian creatives.
He cautioned that believers should assess teachings in the appropriate context because ignorant people frequently misunderstand the Bible.
“Even the devil knows scripture, so test all spirits with proper interpretation and context of what scripture is saying not what it’s being interpreted as by people with half knowledge”, he added.
He added that some former believers twist scripture to justify their lifestyle and undermine others’ faith.
“Some people that were in the faith but opt out looking for narratives to justify their new found reckless living, will quote scriptures with wrong interpretations and context to attack your beliefs and cast doubt”, he concluded.
