The African Democratic Congress (ADC) yesterday said a total of 3,444,000 registered members, are participating in the ongoing primaries for the election of its presidential candidate.
This figure, the party said, was arrived at, after cleaning up the register to remove double registrants, and has been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
ADC National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, at a press conference in Abuja, before the commencement of collation of results of the presidential primaries, challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be honest enough to tell Nigerians number of its registered members. APC said 10.99 million voters elected President Bola Tinubu as its presidential candidate.
But ADC said the party cooked the figure as part of plan to rig the 2027 presidential election. Abdullahi said: “We are building a political party that is based on certain principles, which is transparency.”
