Oyebanji Begins LG Campaign Tour, Assures More Dividends Of Democracy

The Ekiti State Governor and flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the forthcoming June 20 governorship election, Biodun Oyebanji, has commenced a Local Government campaign tour for his re-election bid.

The tour, which commenced in Ikole and Oye Local Government areas of the state, gathered party executives, stakeholders, party loyalists and thousands of supporters dressed in their solidarity attire.

Governor Oyebanji expressed his immense gratitude to the Ikole community for their support over the years, promising to consolidate on his first governance to deliver more dividends of democracy.

He warned against violence during and after the election, urging the supporters to use their votes as weapons to flush out the opposition.

“In 2022, when we wanted to start a campaign, we started in Ikole, and we won the election. We are also starting it here because we believe that Ikole has always been bringing us fortune.

“We said we would start the Local Government tour here. You can attest to the fact that we have delivered our promises; we promised to provide infrastructure, electricity, schools, roads, water, among other things, and we have delivered.

“You knew the history of security in the last three years, but now, we have controlled it. Great nations in the world are built on continuity of alignment, policies and legacies.

“One thing that echoes throughout Ekiti today is that the BAO solution is working; if we find a government that respects the people, it has to continue its job.

” Let’s go out en masse on June 20 and vote for APC. We are one in Ekiti; those people who want to contest also want good things.

“There are some people who always want violence, don’t mingle with them. Fight with your votes for our party”.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Ekiti All Progressive Congress (APC), Sola Eleshin, said the solidarity behind the Governor is a result of his giant strides across all sectors.

Eleshin noted that the Governor’s stint within the three and a half years has been unprecedented, which, according to him, necessitated the reason to go for a second term

He urged the Ikole community to come en masse for the state’s helmsman, assuring them of maximum delivery of democracy after re-election.

“Our Governor has done well, that’s why we are here to support him. We started the campaign here in 2022, and now, we are starting it again here to get your prayers”. He said

A Youth Leader in the Local Government, David Valentine, commended the Governor for his developmental strides across all parastatals, especially youth development, with a promise to deliver enormous votes for the Governor more than any other local government.

“With all due respect, I must commend and appreciate your efforts across the strata, especially in agriculture, education and sports development. We want to assure and reassure you that we are giving you our total votes”, the youth leader said

At Oye Local Government Area of the State, Oyebanji again, in his remarks, urged supporters to vote massively for APC in order to secure Ekiti for President Bola Tinubu come the 2027 general election.
