OPM Pastor Suspends Marriage Of Autistic Daughter


The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has halted marriage arrangements for his 21-year-old adopted autistic daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor.

Announcing the development in a statement shared on his social media page, the cleric said the suspension is due to over 1,000 applications from interested suitors.

He wrote, “Chiemeka Chibuzor’s wedding is hereby suspended.

“More than a thousand applications. No more weddings, pending further directive from me, HRM King, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere”.

Saturday Telegraph recalls that the OPM Pastor offered financial rewards and welfare assurances to any man willing to marry her.

Specified conditions mandated that suitors be youthful and in good physical and mental health.

The advantages mentioned comprised lifelong financial assistance, complimentary housing for life, a collaboratively constructed property in the names of both spouses, and frequent unscheduled visits by OPM personnel to check on her well-being.

The latest request for suitors came after a similar event organised by the cleric in March, where he facilitated the marriage of a non-verbal autistic man, called Aboy, to an older woman during a ceremony on March 29
