No Opposition Can Stop Gov Yusuf 2nd Term – Illiyasu Kwankwaso

…His Achievements Speak Out

The Executive Director of Finance, Hadejia Jama’are River Basin, Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has said that the three-year achievements of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, have already earned him a second term in office and no opposition can stop this from happening.

According to him, the Governor has successfully marked his third year in office, with his administration having fulfilled over 90% of its campaign promises, with his landmark accomplishments spanning several key sectors, particularly education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare.

Illiyasu Kwankwaso said in a press release issued on Sunday that his key achievements including Education, which for the first time declared a state of emergency early in his tenure, consistently allocated nearly a third of the state’s budget to the sector.

This according to Kwankwaso resulted in the achievements of recruiting over 10,000 qualified teachers, distributing thousands of three-seater desks and free uniforms to public schools, and rolling out robust local and international scholarship programs.

On Infrastructure and Utilities, the Governor Completed and reconstructed over 100 kilometres of urban and rural roads, including major interchange projects and the dualization of major roadways, Kwankwaso explained.

“The administration also tackled historical power and water shortages by launching a 500-transformer rollout and revitalising the Tamburawa Water Plant to boost state-wide clean water supply.”

On Healthcare, he upgraded over 200 primary healthcare centres across all 44 Local Government Areas, established the Kano State Centre for Disease Control (KNCDC), and mandated free caesarean section (CS) services in public hospitals.

“Workers’ Welfare and Pensions, Governor Yusuf initiated the clearance of a ₦48 billion backlog of unpaid pensions and gratuities, with over ₦27 billion already disbursed to retirees.”

While on Youth and Women Empowerment, Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso said, Governor Yusuf launched a ₦2.3 billion livestock entrepreneurship program, distributed thousands of start-up kits and livestock to women and vulnerable groups, and provided direct financial grants to support small businesses.

He said today township Roads have in the last three years enabled the Governor to achieve the long-desired Mega City promises which could be realistic only in his time.

“Today, somebody who has been absent if he entered Kano, I’m sure with exaggeration missed his roads, this is quite commendable and will not matter given the Governor’s smooth moves back to the office”.

Another great political achievement which has never been done by his predecessors is the Governor leading a clean and free and fair APC primary election.

“Not only did he make sure that for the first time as a leader removed the tough of his power and followed everyone to his Home for a reconciliation which was achieved, but he also reconciled leaders who had not talked to each other for decades”.

Kwankwaso, said that with these achievements nobody can stop the Governor from making his 2nd Term in office, he appeals to him to sustain the tempo and continue working for the good of the State and People.

He reminded that since his return to APC, Governor Yusuf has been working to ensure that President Tinubu secures a heavy percentage of votes in the State and what he is doing is just a matter of time, Kwankwaso added.
