NDC Reps Aspirant, Ikebunwa, Confident Of Victory

…Sues For Calm

House of Representatives frontline aspirant for Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State on the platform of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Amb. Lotanna Ikebunwa has called on his supporters across the federal constituency to remain calm, peaceful, and confident as the party concludes deliberations on the outcome of the party’s primaries held on Friday, May 29.

Ikebunwa made this appeal amid growing anticipation among party members and supporters awaiting the party’s final decision.

In a statement released by his media team on Sunday, May 31, Ikebunwa expressed gratitude to thousands of supporters, who turned out to demonstrate their support and belief in his vision for the Nnewi federal constituency, while expressing that there is no cause for anxiety, as all available evidence points to a clear mandate freely given to him by party members and constituents.

He stated that victory is assured, and urged supporters not to be distracted by speculation or misinformation, adding that he remains confident that the party leadership will uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and internal democracy by recognising the wishes of the people who participated in the process.

“We urge all our supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. The facts are clear; the evidence is overwhelming, and the mandate freely given by the people cannot be ignored. Victory is assured,” he said.

He further expressed optimism that the NDC leadership would do the needful by affirming the outcome that reflects the will of party members, insisting that he remains the candidate best positioned to challenge candidates from other political parties and secure victory for the NDC in the Nnewi federal constituency election.
