Kefas Wins APC Gubernatorial Primary Election In Taraba


The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election after securing 166,357 votes to defeat his closest rival, who polled 4,110 votes.

The Returning Officer announced the result, confirming Kefas as the party’s flagbearer for the upcoming electoral contest.

Speaking after the conclusion of the election, Kefas said that the contest was now over and called for unity and collective effort among party members and stakeholders to advance the development of Taraba State.

He expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC at all levels for their support and confidence in his administration, as well as to the people of Taraba State for their continued trust and cooperation.

Kefas emphasised commitment to leadership anchored on fairness, humility, and dedication to the welfare and progress of the state, stressing the need for consolidation and inclusiveness moving forward.
