How Jidex Klothing Diversified Into Bigger Ventures

At a time when people trend today and disappear tomorrow, Jidex chose a different path; he turned attention into influence and influence into impact.

What began as a fast-rising fashion brand, Jidex Klothing, has grown into something much bigger than clothes. It has become a brand that blends fashion, food business, digital storytelling and real-life drama in a way that keeps people watching.

Today, Jidex is known not only for building Jidex Klothing into a youth driven streetwear force or expanding into Jidex Foods, but also for building one of the most talked about personal brands on African TikTok.

A major turning point came through his relationship with a lady popularly known online as Momma Dessy. Momma Dessy is not his biological sister as many first assumed.

She is a woman who openly professed her love for Jidex and he entertained the relationship publicly. Things took a dramatic turn when she appeared on TikTok in tears, saying that she felt neglected and emotionally abandoned.

In the now viral video, she warned that if anything happened to her, Olajide Jidex should be held responsible. The clip spread quickly across social media. It was intense, emotional and impossible to ignore.

What started as online affection suddenly became a public conversation about love, obsession, accountability and modern relationships. Instead of running from the controversy, Jidex leaned into the moment.

The two gradually reappeared online together, addressing the tension in subtle ways and eventually embracing their status as an online couple. Fans watched the story unfold in real time.

Supporters picked sides, created fan pages and followed every update closely. Within weeks, their joint presence began to grow rapidly. The drama turned into engagement. Engagement turned into loyalty.

What many thought would fade became a growing digital partnership with a strong fan base both online and offline. At the same time, Jidex kept building.

Through Jidex Klothing and Jidex Foods, he continued serving thousands of customers across Nigeria and beyond. Reports estimate that his businesses have attracted over 80,000 clients both at home and abroad.

The viral relationship may have amplified his visibility, but the foundation was already there as it was built on years of consistency and hustle. Many industry observers still point to 2024 as a defining year.

That was when Jidex Klothing was named Fastest Growing Fashion House at the Cool Wealth Awards. The recognition gave him credibility within the industry and validated the growth he had been pushing for years. Looking back, the award was not the peak.

It was the springboard. Jidex’s journey shows how modern success in Nigeria often sits at the intersection of business, personality and digital culture. He did not rely on fashion alone. He embraced storytelling, controversy, romance and community.
