Arsenal’s all-time leading scorer, Thierry Henry, has thrown down the gauntlet ahead of the decisive title showdown, urging his former side to rise to the occasion against Manchester City.
The club legend also called on the club manager, Mikel Arteta to match his recent words with action, insisting the team must show real hunger and intensity in Sunday’s crucial Premier League clash that could shape the title race.
Henry’s Message To Arsenal
Speaking in his usual role as a pundit on CBS Sports after Arsenal’s widely criticised 0-0 draw with Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League, Thierry Henry responded to comments made by manager Mikel Arteta regarding the team’s internal motivation and mentality.
“I’m a big believer; I believe in what I see, though,” henry said about Arteta’s comments.
“I believe in it. I do. But then when you talk like that, you have to do it then. You have to.

“I didn’t see that tonight. We are through, so happy, semi-final, as you said too, very happy. We never won it. I never won it, so I can’t really talk about all of that, so we are in the semi-final.
“But I won the league, though. Go and win at Man City. I want to see that fire there. That’s the fire I want to see. I believe Mikel.”
What’s On The Line For Arsenal
This weekend’s fixture is set to be a decisive six-pointer that could go a long way in determining the outcome of the 2025/26 Premier League title race.
Arsenal remain top of the table, but their once-comfortable lead over Manchester City has been significantly reduced following a poor run of form.
Mikel Arteta’s side have managed just one win in their last five matches, including a disappointing 2-1 loss to AFC Bournemouth.
