Group Dismisses Critics Of Tinubu, Says New Dawn For S’East

A pan-Igbo organisation under the aegis of Igbodike Movement has dismissed the traducers of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, contending that his regime is a new dawn for the South East geopolitical zone.

According to the statement signed by the National Coordinator of the Movement, Dr Peter Okonkwo, the administration of President Tinubu has changed the face of infrastructural development in the South East, adding that most projects abandoned by past administrations have been completed, while others are at various stages of completion.

Okonkwo noted that the fate of the South East and South South Federal Highways has received a boost under Tinubu.

“When you look at the Enugu Onitsha expressway today, you would discover that work is going on and some of the major portions of the road have been completed.

“Our people should go and inspect the ongoing Nkwelle flyover linking the Second Niger Bridge interchange, which cuts off the main Onitsha town to Imo state and see the wonders being performed there. ”

Okonkwo noted that the success story of those projects stems from the appointment of former Ebonyi state Governor Engr Dave Umahi, who is currently the Minister for Works.

“With our brother Dave Umahi as the Minister for works, all those projects have been revived and fresh budgetary provisions were made for their completion and go to Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia states.

“The roads being constructed cut through other states like Imo and Abia, linking Ikotekpene road, which has always been in the appropriation bills but was never executed.

“So when you look at all these projects, one has no reason to claim that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is not doing well, and the issue of our economy is receiving attention, and for the first time, the government is telling us the true position about that, and these were what successive administrations in Nigeria failed to tell us.”

Okonkwo officially announced the endorsement of the second-term bid of Tinubu, noting that one cannot change a winning team in the middle of a match.
