The Ghanaian Federation on Tuesday, April 14, confirmed that Carlos Queiroz, a seasoned Portuguese coach, will lead Ghana in the 2026 World Cup.
The 73-year-old will lead his ninth national team and go to his fourth World Cup. His club career included two stints as Alex Ferguson’s assistant at Manchester United and a time as manager of Real Madrid.
He takes over for Otto Addo, who was fired two weeks ago, just after Ghana’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Germany.
