Cute Abiola Thanks Supporters Amid Backlash On Wife’s Video


Nigerian content creator Abdulgafar Ahmed, popularly known as Cute Abiola, has reacted to criticism that trailed the release of a personal documentary chronicling his wife’s childbirth experience.

Taking to his official X handle on Tuesday,  Cute Abiola said he was taken aback by the flood of heartfelt messages, prayers, and personal stories that were posted in the YouTube comment section after the video went live.

He observed that apart from the criticism, numerous viewers shared their personal experiences, showing solidarity, resilience, and empathy.

Instead of confronting critics head-on, Cute Abiola concentrated on the positive effect of the documentary seemed to have produced among its audience.

He expressed gratitude for sharing the experience, noting that being transparent about such a personal moment had motivated individuals facing challenging circumstances.

He states that life isn’t always free of difficulties, emphasizing that vulnerability can occasionally provide motivation for those encountering similar hardships

“Since yesterday, when I shared our documentary, I have been reading through the comments on YouTube…and honestly, I am overwhelmed.

“So many emotional messages… so many prayers…so many people sharing their own stories.

“I saw strength, love, and humanity in the comment section, and I felt the need to share some of them here.

“I am glad I shared this journey. I am glad I was vulnerable. And most importantly, I am glad this story has motivated someone out there who might be going through a difficult time.

“Life is not always perfect, but sometimes sharing our struggles gives hope to others”, he wrote.

He concluded by thanking everyone who watched, prayed, offered support, or sent kind words, noting that both he and his family deeply appreciated the gestures.

“To everyone who watched, prayed, supported, and sent kind words. thank you. My family and I truly appreciate you”, he concluded.
