Galadima Wins APC Gov’ship Primary In Adamawa


Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State.

Announcing the results of the primary election, the Chairman of the Election Committee, Professor Innocent Barikor, said Ahmed Tijjani Galadima polled 414,444 votes to defeat other aspirants in the contest.

Professor Innocent Barikor also announced that in the contest, Abdulrazaq Namdas secured 86,004 votes, while 65,893 votes went to Abdullahi Haske.

Galadima secured victory at the party’s governorship primary election conducted under the supervision of the APC national committee in the state.

The exercise, which commenced on Thursday and attracted delegates from across the state, was reportedly conducted peacefully amid tight security.

The Returning Officer, however, thanked Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Party officials, security personnel, the Press and the people of the State for the kind hospitality accorded the Committee.

In his acceptance speech, the candidate, Ahmed Galadima, thanked those who stepped down for him and made a passionate appeal to his co-contestants to put the contest behind them and give him maximum support during the 2027 general elections.

Galadima said, “Except that is done, it will give the party the togetherness to approach the 2027 elections with full hope towards the general elections”.

The APC candidate commended the conduct of the election and assured the people of Adamawa State that the confidence reposed in him would not disappoint them.
