Nigerian rapper Panshak Henry Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince has spoken up on how a casual remark from his longtime partner and producer, Chopstix, motivated his recent weight loss effort.
The artist denied any connection to substance misuse and revealed that the change was completely natural.
When discussing his physical makeover, Ice Prince clarified that the concept originated while he was collaborating with Chopstix on a new album.

He claimed that the producer advised them to approach the project with a “new look,” a claim that stuck with him.
“It was just a statement from my friend, Chopstix, who is also a producer. We were working on an album when he said, ‘Ice, let’s do this album with a new look, let’s cut the belly out,’ and it made sense to me,” he said.
He added that Chopstix subsequently became part of the process by visiting his house regularly for evening walks.
“He started coming to my house every day at 8pm and we would take walks together. That was it,” the rapper stated.
Ice Prince also used the opportunity to clear the air on rumours suggesting his slimmer appearance was drug-related.
“I promise on everything that I love and care about, I have never had interest in any drugs or any substance. I have never engaged in it. I used to be a smoker, yes, but that was the height of it. I have never tried drugs in my life. My weight loss was natural,” he said.
The rapper also discussed his upcoming album, “Testimony of Grace,” which he described as a reflection of his life, journey, and thankfulness following years in the music business.
He claimed the project is a reflection of his ideas and experiences after being in the public eye for more than ten years following the popularity of his hit song Oleku in 2010.
“Testimony of Grace is just a collection of my thoughts. Music is an expression of self and this is me expressing myself in the best way I can,” he said.
Ice Prince added that he considers himself fortunate to have enjoyed longevity and success in the industry.
“I feel I have lived a gracious life. God has blessed me in so many ways I can’t even explain. I came into the game with Oleku in 2010, so it’s been about 16 years of being active in music and God has been gracious all the way,” he added.
