Farmtech Integrated Services, the agrivoltaics-focused subsidiary of Komponents and Solutions Rack Limited, has unveiled Sunwoda Energy in Nigeria, marking a step toward expanding energy storage solutions in the country.
The product launch, held at the Farmtech/Komponents facility in Oregun, Lagos, brought together industry professionals and stakeholders to witness the unveiling of Sunwoda Energy’s energy storage technologies designed for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Speaking at the event, the Marketing Manager of Farmtech, Mr Kenny Ogunrombi, highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering renewable energy solutions tailored to local needs.
He said Sunwoda Energy’s product range had been designed for residential, commercial and industrial support applications, adding that Farmtech specialises in agrivoltaics, which integrates solar-powered systems into agricultural production to enhance productivity and support rural electrification.
The launch, according to the company, aligns with its broader vision of transforming traditional systems through technology-driven solutions.
“Africa does not lack sunlight, arable land, or entrepreneurial capacity. What is required is the strategic alignment of energy, agriculture, and innovation, an area where partnerships with Sunwoda Energy become critical,” Ogunrombi said.
The event also highlighted the role of Komponents and Solutions Rack Limited as a distributor of renewable energy components in Nigeria.
The company, which traces its roots to 1997 and rebranded in 2014, represents global original equipment manufacturers and operates a second-level repair centre backed by technical expertise.
Attendees were given insights into Sunwoda Energy’s product range, including scalable battery storage systems aimed at providing reliable and clean power for homes, offices, industrial facilities and microgrid deployments.
The launch also featured a demonstration of the firm’s off-grid facility, which powers a fully functional office environment, including cooling systems and training infrastructure, to showcase integrated energy solutions in real-world conditions.
Through the partnership, Farmtech and Komponents said they aim to deepen their impact in Nigeria’s energy sector by combining tier-one technologies with local expertise and training initiatives.
The collaboration is expected to support increased adoption of renewable energy solutions and capacity building through technical training and industry partnerships.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to customer-focused service delivery, emphasising quality, problem-solving, accountability and customer care as part of its core values.
