Ex-Commissioner Joins Kwara Reps Race

Hon. Femi Agbaje Whyte, former Commissioner in Kwara State and Special Adviser (Political) to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has joined the House of Representatives race for the slot of the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Promising to give his constituency a stronger voice and quality representation in the National Assembly, Hon. Whyte made his formal declaration in Offa, headquarters of the Offa Local Government Area.

He assured his constituents in the three local government areas that, if given the mandate, he would “sponsor and support bills that unlock jobs, secure our communities, and bring federal presence to our constituency”.

He added, “This is not an ambition born out of desperation. It is a mission born out of conviction. A conviction that our people deserve *effective representation, loud in Abuja, present at home, and felt in every ward from Share to Igbaja, from Offa to Erin-Ile, from Ojoku to Ijagbo, Ipee to Igosun, Ira to Ilemona.”

Vowing to attract development to his constituency, the Aspirant said: “Our federal roads, our schools, our hospitals, our markets — they need a representative who knows the doors to knock on.

“I will leverage my network, experience in governance, business, public service, community development, and the goodwill of APC to bring projects that matter.

“The youths of Offa need tech and enterprise hubs. The farmers of Ifelodun need processing and access to markets. The traders of Oyun need credit and infrastructure. Women need real support, not just slogans. My representation will be about human capital first.

“My priority will be to unite, not divide. As a matter of fact, Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun are three names with one destiny. I will be a bridge builder, ensuring every community gets a fair share. No ward will be abandoned. No voice will be ignored.

“If you give me your trust and our party gives me the ticket, I will run a Constituency Office in each LGA and hold quarterly town halls. You will not need a miracle to reach your Rep.

“Every kobo of constituency allocation will be published. We will execute, inspect, and report — together.

“From insecurity on our highways to unemployment among our graduates, I will take your pain to the floor of the House until answers come.

“I will work hand-in-hand with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of our State, and our Senators to ensure Kwara speaks with one voice.”

Hon. Whyte, who lauded the APC for the platform and the progressive ideals, aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, promising to “domesticate it in Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun if given the mandate,” adding that “this ticket is not about me — it is about expanding our party’s footprint of service”.

He added, “To our dear Party members, I ask for your vote. To the leaders, I ask for your blessing. To the youths, I ask for your energy. To the women, I ask for your prayers. To everyone, I ask for your partnership.

“The road to 2027 starts now. And with God, with APC, and with you, we will win — not just an election, but a better future for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun.”
