C’River NUJ Congratulates National President On Birthday


Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated the National President of the Union, Alhassan Yahaya, as he celebrates his birthday.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by the state Council, Comrade Archibong Bassey, on Monday, while reflecting on the contributions of Mr Alhassan Yahaya to the Journalism profession in the country.

The Council chairman noted that at a critical stage in Nigeria’s political process, the NUJ under Yahya’s leadership has remained focused on upholding the core values of truth, responsibility, and ethical journalism.

According to the statement, his contributions have not only strengthened the Union but also reinforced the role of the media as a key pillar of democracy.

The Cross River NUJ further lauded the National President’s steady and purposeful leadership, which it said has provided the direction needed for the profession to thrive amid evolving national challenges.

While celebrating his achievements, the Council prayed for good health, wisdom, and renewed strength for Yahya as he continues to lead the Union to greater heights.

The statement concluded with best wishes to the NUJ National President as he marks another year of impactful service to the media industry and the nation.
