Court Grants BLord Bail Over Alleged Impersonation Of VDM


Popular Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams Ifejirika, better known as BLord, has been released on bail following weeks in Kuje prison for allegedly impersonating social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja approved BLord’s bail application on Friday, April 17, after he had been remanded in Kuje prison.

Human rights activist and 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, made this announcement in a terse statement on his official Facebook page.

According to the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, BLord was granted release on his own recognisance after his arraignment in the Federal High Court in Abuja.

He, however, mentioned that the court required Blord to submit his international passport as a part of his bail requirements

“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, popularly known as @mrblordofficial BLORD, on self-recognisance.

“The court, however, ordered that he deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions,” he wrote.
