Hundreds of youths under the Delta North College of Youths have thrown their weight behind the senatorial ambition of the immediate past Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

The youths comprise, members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the Christian Association of Nigeria (Youth Wing), the Community Youth Associations, the Non-Indigene Associations, the Female Youth Associations, the Political Youth Leaders and the Student Union Bodies.

This came a month after a concerned group from the nine Local Government Areas, comprising Delta North, in Agbor, rejected the return bid of the former governor, wondering what he forgot at the red chamber.

They unanimously adopted Okowa as their sole candidate to represent Delta North Senatorial district in 2027. The Senior Special Assistant, Mr Ossai Ovie Success, to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Media, during the event, tagged, one-day Youths Engagement Programme, in Asaba yesterday said, “the adoption reflects overwhelming youth support and confidence in Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa’s experience, leadership style, and vision for Delta North.”
