Chemstar Group Chairman, Awode Loses Mother


The Matriarch of the Awode Family, Most Senior Special Mother-In-Israel Prophetess Delphine Modupe Awode, is dead.

Mama Awode, a devout Seraph, Christian and epitome of love and humility, is the mother of the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Chemstar Group, manufacturer of Finecoat and Shield Premium Brand of Paints, Dr Emmanuel Aderemi Awode (JP).

She died at the early hours of Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the age of 86.

Announcing her passing unto glory on Tuesday, Pastor Bamtefa Rotimi, the SDS, Victory District, in a statement on behalf of the family, said: “With a heart full of gratitude to God for an exemplary life well spent, the Awode family and Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC) Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), Victory District, Ikorodu, hereby announce the passing unto eternal glory of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Most Senior Special Mother-In-Israel Prophetess Delphine Modupe Awode.

“The glorious exit took place at the early hours of today, Tuesday, 28th April, 2026. Burial arrangements will be announced later by the family.”

Meanwhile, torrents of tribute and condolences have continued to greet the death of Prophetess Modupe Awode, the Matron of many church Bands and associations in her lifetime.

Expressing the church’s condolences on Tuesday, the Church Secretary, CSMC, Divine Blessing Cathedral, AIT Road, Algbado, Lagos, Sp. Ap (Pastor) Oluwafemi Thomas JP, also in a statement, said: “On behalf of the leadership of the church CSMC Divine Blessing Cathedral, we announce the transition to Glory of our beloved mother, grandmother Most Snr. Sp. M/I/I Prophetess Delphine Awode, who joined the Saints in the early hours of yesterday, Tuesday 28th April, 2026.”

The Church condoled with Most Senior Special Apostle (Dr) Emmanuel Awode JP, who is a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC) Worldwide, and the entire Awode Family, and prayed that the Lord would comfort and strengthen them at this trying time.

The statement described Late Mama Awode as a devout Christian and Seraph, who lived her entire life for Christ and serving the Lord and humanity.
