BUA Cement Rewards Top Distributors with Trucks and Cash

BUA Cement Plc has rewarded its top-performing distributors across Nigeria with a mix of cash prizes, sports utility vehicles, and compressed natural gas trucks as the company seeks to deepen its distribution network and sustain growth in a competitive cement market.

The awards were presented at the company’s 2025 Distributors’ Awards held at the Eko Hotels and Suites Convention Centre in Lagos over the weekend, where 30 distributors were recognised across multiple performance categories.

At the ceremony, the top two distributors received cash prizes alongside two CNG trucks each, while other leading distributors were awarded one CNG truck each in addition to monetary rewards. Ten distributors also received brand new 2025 Toyota RAV4 vehicles, alongside cash prizes, underscoring the scale of the company’s incentive programme.

Regional champions were rewarded with 900 bags of cement each, while other award categories included Pacesetters, Powerhouse, and Market Dominators, reflecting performance across different segments of the company’s nationwide distribution network.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of BUA Cement Plc, Yusuf Binji, said the company remained committed to strengthening relationships across its value chain and supporting distributors to scale their operations.

“BUA Cement values its distributors and has consistently provided incentives to motivate them to achieve even greater results. I want to specially recognise all our dealers across the country. We see you; we value you, and we are working tirelessly to improve our supply chain to make your businesses safer and more profitable, including the many livelihoods that depend on BUA Cement,” he said.

The Chairman of BUA Cement Plc, Abdul Rabiu, described the awards as a reflection of the company’s recognition of distributor loyalty and performance, noting that their role extends beyond sales into broader economic development.

“This awards ceremony is to acknowledge the efforts of our distributors who have shown resilience and have grown with BUA Cement Plc over the years through their outstanding performance. Their role goes beyond selling cement. They are key contributors to socio-economic development across the country,” he said.

Rabiu added that Nigeria’s growing population presents a significant opportunity for distributors to expand their footprint, as demand for cement continues to rise alongside infrastructure and housing needs.

He said the company was scaling up production capacity through ongoing and planned investments, including the addition of Line 6 in Sokoto and a forthcoming three million tonnes per annum plant in Ososo, moves expected to improve efficiency and meet rising market demand.

In addition, the company announced a N30-per-bag bonus for all dealers on volumes purchased in 2025, with a total of N4.5bn earmarked for the initiative, further reinforcing its commitment to incentivising performance across its distribution chain.

The event drew industry leaders, business partners, and stakeholders, including the chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, highlighting the significance of distributor networks in Nigeria’s cement industry and the broader construction value chain.
