Bayern Munich on Wednesday night produced a dramatic late surge to defeat Real Madrid 4-3 at the Allianz Arena, sealing a pulsating 6-4 aggregate victory and booking their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
In a contest that delivered relentless twists from the opening seconds, the visitors struck first in stunning fashion. Just 37 seconds into the match, Arda Güler capitalised on a loose pass from Manuel Neuer, controlling calmly before firing into an unguarded net to level the tie on aggregate.
Bayern responded almost immediately. A dangerous delivery from Joshua Kimmich caused chaos in the box and was turned home at the near post to restore parity on the night.

Momentum swung again when Güler doubled his tally with a beautifully curled free-kick after a foul on Brahim Díaz, putting Madrid back in front. Yet Bayern refused to wilt.
