Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, the member representing Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has commenced an extensive ward-to-ward consultation tour across the constituency, pledging improved representation and accelerated development if re-elected for a third term.
The lawmaker, who kicked off the grassroots mobilisation tour on Monday across Tal, Garram, Chip, Jiblik, Langkang, Kangshu, Kadung, Belning and Fier wards in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, assured party faithful and supporters of his commitment to sustaining people-oriented projects and effective legislative representation at the National Assembly.
While addressing APC members, traditional leaders, youths and women groups during the visits, Gagdi said his years in the National Assembly had equipped him with the experience and legislative capacity required to attract greater development to the constituency.
According to him, continuity in parliament remains critical to effective representation and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people.
“In legislative business, experience matters. The longer you stay, the more opportunities you have to influence policies, attract projects and deliver meaningful development to your constituents,” he stated.
The federal lawmaker, who was accompanied by his wife, APC stakeholders, party officials and supporters, highlighted several achievements recorded during his tenure, including youth empowerment programmes, employment opportunities, healthcare interventions, water projects, educational support initiatives and the construction of traditional palaces in different communities across the constituency.
Gagdi further noted that one of his landmark legislative achievements was sponsoring the bill that upgraded the former Federal College of Education, Pankshin, to the Federal University of Education, Pankshin.
He maintained that the ongoing consultation tour would cover all federal wards across the three local government areas of Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam, as part of efforts to interact directly with constituents and seek their mandate ahead of the APC primaries.
New Telegraph gathered that the lawmaker received massive receptions in the various wards visited, with party supporters and residents openly reaffirming their loyalty and support for his re-election bid.
