A team from the national office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by the National Financial Secretary, Ambassador Haruna, arrived in Kebbi State to supervise the conduct of primary elections and commended the state Governor, Nasiru Idris, for his transformative leadership in the state.
The team made the commendation during a visit to the Commissioner of Information and Culture of Kebbi State, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, in his office on Wednesday.
The other members of the team included the former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Andulmalik Mahmud; former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Armaya’u Abubakar; Hon Ibrahim Jirgi, Hon Bello Moriki and Hon Bashar Madura.
Speaking while being conducted round the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Secretariat Complex in Birnin Kebbi by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, the National Financial Secretary, Ambassador Ginsau, remarked that the APC at the national level has always been proud of the achievements of Governor Nasir Idris.
He noted that the beautiful township roads spanning several towns and villages, the general beautification of the state and the provision of key social amenities would open the state up for economic transformation and prosperity.
Ambassador Ginsau stated that a visit to Argungu, the local government, looked very much like a state capital owing to the infrastructure dotting the landscape, noting that this has the capacity to bring about economic growth and development.
He said he was happy to see the state capital being kept very neat, pointing out that Borno and Kebbi are two of the cleanest cities in Nigeria.
Also speaking, former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Abdulmalik Mahmud and his Taraba State counterpart, Alhaji Armaya’u Abubakar, took turns to commend the Kebbi State Governor for his sterling leadership qualities and commitment to the development of the state.
They said the completion of the state secretariat complex, which was named after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the provision of critical infrastructure to drive the state into prosperity, were a testament that Governor Idris has the interest of the people of Kebbi State at heart.
They called on the people of Kebbi State to reward the Governor with a second term in office in the forthcoming 2027 elections. This, they said will see to more dividends of democracy coming to the state.
