The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on Saturday participated in the party’s Presidential Direct Primary Election in his hometown of Dungung, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The APC is conducting its presidential direct primary elections simultaneously across its 8,809 wards nationwide, with registered party members voting to elect the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The exercise marks the final phase of the APC’s internal primary elections after the party earlier concluded primaries for other elective positions ahead of the 2027 polls.

For the APC presidential ticket, only two aspirants purchased the party’s nomination forms.
The incumbent President, Bola Tinubu, who is seeking re-election for a second term, and Stanley Osifo are the two contenders for the party’s ticket.
The outcome of the direct primary will officially determine the APC’s presidential flagbearer for the 2027 general election.
