…Urges Party Leaders to Adopt Him as Consensus Candidate

A political support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the APC Integrity Group, has thrown its weight behind Engr. Oluwasola Samuel Ajimati for the party’s Kwara South Senatorial ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing him as the most credible and marketable aspirant in the race.

The group also appealed to party stakeholders and the leadership of the APC in Kwara State to consider Ajimati as a consensus candidate for the senatorial contest, citing his leadership qualities, grassroots appeal, and capacity to unite the district.

In a statement jointly signed by its Coordinator, Zubairu Mohammed, and Secretary, Goodluck Okafor, issued in Abuja, the group said its decision followed extensive consultations with party faithful, youths, women groups, traditional stakeholders, and community leaders across the seven local government areas that make up Kwara South Senatorial District.

According to the group, Ajimati has distinguished himself over the years as a committed party loyalist, technocrat, and grassroots mobiliser with a strong passion for public service and community development.

The statement noted that the engineer-turned-politician possesses the experience, intellect, and exposure required to provide effective representation for the people of Kwara South at the National Assembly.

The APC Integrity Group further stated that Ajimati’s accessibility to the people and his ability to connect across political, ethnic, and religious divides have continued to endear him to stakeholders within and outside the APC.

“At a time when Kwara South needs visionary leadership and quality representation capable of attracting development and empowering the people, Engr. Oluwasola Samuel Ajimati stands tall among all the aspirants,” the statement said.

It added that Ajimati’s background in engineering and management has equipped him with the capacity to understand developmental challenges and provide practical solutions that would benefit the district.

“After a careful assessment of all the aspirants contesting for the APC Kwara South Senatorial ticket, we are convinced that Engr. Ajimati remains the most credible, marketable, and widely accepted aspirant for the position,” the group stated.

The group said Ajimati has continued to build political bridges and maintain cordial relationships with stakeholders across the senatorial district, qualities it described as critical to strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

While commending other aspirants in the race, including Onijala Olutola John, Murtala Olabanji Anolola, Senator Oyelola Ashiru, Gbenga Makanjuola, Odetundun Olabode Ademola, Olalekan Sunday Adewoye, and Olatunde Micheal, the group maintained that Ajimati enjoys wider acceptability and stronger grassroots support.

The APC Integrity Group, therefore, called on delegates, party leaders, and stakeholders in Kwara South to rally behind Ajimati in the interest of party unity, electoral victory, and sustainable development for the district.
