Adeleke Lauds Davido For Showcasing Osun At Coachella

Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, has heaped praises on his nephew and Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, for putting the Adeleke family name and Osun on the global map.

Governor Adeleke handed down the commendation after Davido performed as the only African at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.

New Telegraph reports that Davido, set on the Gobi Stage, featured a traditional Yoruba panegyric, or oríkì, that eulogises his hometown, Ede. This further celebrates his descent and state.
