In continuation of his election tour of the Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Salisu Mustapha has promised to fight insecurity with all sincerity.
Mustapha made this vow on Wednesday when he paid a royal homage to the Emirs of Maiha, Hong and Song Chiefdom.
The former National Vice Chairman, North-East of APC said, “I will give priority to the sector for intelligent information through various ways and logistics to security personnel to end insecurity”.
Mustapha maintained that the purpose of the homage is to solicit prayers and royal blessing for his ambition of becoming the next Governor of Adamawa.
He promised that if voted to power he would continue from where Governor Ahmadu Fintiri stopped and even do more than what we are seeing today.
He also promised to work with traditional institutions with respect to culture and traditions for more development in the state like other countries especially Chaina.
According to the governorship aspirant, “history has shown the importance of the role of traditional leaders and I am ready to restore it back for peace and security and good upbringing of our youth to be useful in the society”.
The APC governorship aspirant reiterated that “government alone cannot do everything, hence the need to use the traditional institutions by having laws in place to play a vital role”.
While lauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating an enable environment for peace, security and economic development in the country, he expressed confidence that the present administrations both at State and the Federal would continue to provide the social services for the citizens.
Mustapha also commended the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu for his commitment and contributions that lead to the relative peace enjoyed especially in Adamawa Northern Zone that once became the caliphate of Boko Haram.
In their separate remarks, the traditional leaders assured their support and prayers for the success of the movement.
Speaking earlier, his campaign coordinator Yusuf Buba, described the aspirant as a credible person who deserves to govern the state as a Lawyer, former military officer, political analyst and a banker.
He solicited the support of traditional leaders and all stakeholders of the party.
Mustapha later interacted with APC officials across the Local Government Areas visited and promised to carry them along if given the mandate.
