Abiodun Presents Adeola To Tinubu As APC Consensus Candidate


Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday formally presented Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to President Bola Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 election in the state.

Abiodun disclosed this in a statement, describing the presentation as a step in consolidating party unity and strengthening preparations ahead of the upcoming governorship poll.

According to the governor, the presentation reflects the party’s commitment to continuity, stability, and strategic leadership in Ogun State.

It would be recalled that Senator Adeola was recently unveiled as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State following extensive consultations and strategic engagements with key stakeholders across the party.

The process was aimed at presenting a strong, credible, and widely accepted candidate capable of leading the state and sustaining ongoing developmental strides.

Governor Abiodun noted that the consensus decision reflects the collective will of party leaders and stakeholders, emphasizing unity within the APC as a critical factor for electoral success in 2027.

Senator Adeola, who currently represents Ogun West in the Senate, is widely regarded as an experienced lawmaker with a track record in public service and grassroots mobilization.
