Chelsea captain, Enzo Fernandez is reportedly considering his future at Stamford Bridge following the club’s disappointing Premier League campaign.
After the Blues finished a frustrating tenth in the league standings, speculations surrounding the Argentine midfielder’s future has continued to grow.
According to a journalist, Ben Jacobs, Fernandez is now open to exploring a potential exit from Chelsea as he seeks an opportunity to compete in elite European competitions next season.
The report suggests the World Cup winner is weighing offers from clubs capable of providing Champions League football, casting fresh uncertainty over his long-term future in West London.

The World Cup-winning midfielder has already been the subject of informal discussions with Manchester City, who are expected to intensify their interest after appointing Enzo Maresca, formerly of Chelsea and familiar with Fernandez’s qualities.
Alongside the Premier League champions, Real Madrid are also viewed as a highly attractive destination for the Argentine, although it remains uncertain whether the Spanish giants will make a formal move during the upcoming transfer window.
Chelsea stand firm on keeping Enzo Fernandez
Earlier this season, Chelsea captain, Enzo Fernandez was handed a two-match suspension by then-manager Liam Rosenior after his comments in the media were interpreted as him showing interest in Real Madrid, a decision his agent publicly criticised as unjust.
Despite the internal tension and Chelsea’s overall struggles, Fernandez still delivered a strong individual campaign, contributing 10 goals and 4 assists in the Premier League.
However, his form has also complicated Chelsea’s position, as it strengthens interest from elite suitors while making it harder for the club to convince him to stay. Even so, the Blues remain firm in their stance.
The club are determined not to sell the midfielder at a loss this summer, meaning any interested side will be required to meet their full valuation with no discounts offered.
