My Children Were Taken Away From Me- Bukky Wright

Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has revealed why she ventured into acting, saying she started acting after her children were taken away from her at a very young age.

In an emotional interview, the actress said she never wanted fame or stardom when she entered the entertainment industry; she just wanted to act in movies so her kids would know how to find her when they grow up.

Bukky Wright explained that she lost access to her children after marrying into a wealthy family that looked down on her and doubted she would amount to anything in life.

“I actually started acting so that when my children grow up, they would be able to, at least, I never thought of being a star, at least know where to find me.

“My children were taken from me when they were very young because I married into a very wealthy family, and they could not think I would become anything in this life. And here I am today,” she said.

Recall that in 2025, Wright celebrated the wedding ceremony of her son, Eniola, with his partner, Sara Bonet, on her official Instagram page, with prayers, gratitude, and thanksgiving.
