Teddy-A Advocates Shared Gender Role In Marriages

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Tope Adenibuyan, popularly known as Teddy A, has said he opposes the concept of a stay-at-home wife and that he would rather have a marriage in which both partners work and accumulate wealth.

Teddy A, who made this revelation at a recent roundtable discussion on Echo Room, said he likes to assist ladies and doesn’t mind being with a successful or valuable spouse.

According to him, his stance is predicated on long-term planning, pointing out that working couples can reap the rewards of their combined efforts as they age.

He added that although he appreciates having a high-value wife, he also thinks that submission is a crucial component of marriage and that marriages suffer when it is absent.

“The way I see a woman, I love to support a woman. I have no problem having a high-value woman; I do not want a stay-at-home wife.

“I hate that shit, we both have got to get it, so when we get older, we can enjoy what we have worked on together. But the point where you miss it is when you are not submissive,” he said.

Teddy A and Bambam met during the 2018 Big Brother Naija “Double Wahala” season and had their white wedding in Dubai in 2019.

“His remarks come amid months of speculation about a marital crisis between him and his wife, actress Bambam, who is also a former BBNaija housemate.

The rumours grew more intense in February after social media users noticed the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
