APC Presidential Aspirant Congratulates Winners Of Edo Reps Primaries

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Stanley Osifo, has congratulated the winners of the House of Representatives primary elections in Edo State held on Saturday.

Osifo’s congratulatory message was contained in a press statement personally signed by him and released on Monday, titled “Celebrating Victory, Strengthening Our Unity.”

“I extend my warmest congratulations to all the official flagbearers who emerged victorious in the recently concluded APC House of Representatives primaries across our beloved Edo State.

“Your victory is a testament to your dedication, leadership, and the trust reposed in you by party faithful. As you prepare to fly the progressive flag of the APC in the 2027 general elections, know that you carry the hopes of your constituencies for robust representation and impactful governance,” he stated.

According to Osifo, the winners include Dr Paddy Iyamu for Oredo Federal Constituency; Hon. Omosede Igbinedion for Ovia Federal Constituency; Hon. Felix Osazee Igbinovia for Ikpoba-Okha/Egor Federal Constituency; and Hon. Billy Osawaru for Uhunmwonde/Orhionmwon Federal Constituency.

Others listed by the APC presidential aspirant are Hon. Odianosen Okojie for Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency; Dr Lucky Eseigbe for Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency; Barrister Bankole Balogun for Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency; Hon. Anamero Sunday Dekeri for Etsako Federal Constituency; and Hon. Andrew Ijegbai for Owan Federal Constituency.

Osifo also commended aspirants who participated in the primary election but did not emerge victorious, urging them to remain committed to the unity and progress of the party.

“To all our esteemed party members who contested but did not secure the ticket, I salute your courage, vision, and deep commitment to the ideals of our party.

“In a true democracy, especially within the APC, internal primaries are not contests between enemies but a family affair. There are no losers when the ultimate goal is the progress of Edo State and Nigeria,” he said.

The presidential aspirant further appealed to all stakeholders and party loyalists to put aside their differences and work together ahead of the general elections.

“I strongly charge all contestants, stakeholders, and loyal party members to close ranks immediately. We must heal all fractures, sheath our swords, and unite as an indivisible force.

“Our collective focus must now shift towards securing a total and resounding victory for the APC in the general elections next year.

“Together, standing shoulder to shoulder, we will win Edo State for the APC and deliver the dividends of democracy to our people. Congratulations once again to all our winners,” the statement added.
