The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Adamawa State, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, has hailed President Bola Tinubu for the approval for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to improve electricity in the Fufore Local Government Area.
Mustapha made this remark in Fufore Local Government Area on Sunday, in continuation of his statewide governorship campaign tour.
The governorship aspirant and his entourage, who visited the Emir of Fofure, Alhaji Sani Ribadu, said they were in his domain to seek his Royal blessings and support to enable him to win the governor race.
According to him, “I am asking for your blessings and support in my quest to govern Adamawa state. There is no better place to come than Fufore, my town. I am your son, my mother is from here, and I know you will never let me alone on this journey.”
He assured the Emir that he would make the Fufore local government area a food and industrial hub of Nigeria, particularly in rice production.
“If given the chance to be the next governor of the state, I will leverage on the successes of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to make the state an industrial hub of Nigeria, as I strongly count on you on this journey”, even as he promised fairness and justice to citizens if elected Governor of Adamawa State.
He assured the audience that any decision he would take as governor would be the result of wide consultations with all stakeholders and thanked the gathering for their continued support for him.
He praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating an enabling environment for peace, security and economic development in the country.
Responding, the Emir, Alhaji Sani Ribadu, expressed gratitude to Comrade Mustapha Salihu, who has never forgotten his affinity to Fofure land.
Alhaji Sani Ribadu told Comrade Mustapha that “I have already approved the land requested for the establishment of TCN and it could be utilised any time the government want.
