Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has defended President Bola Tinubu over his ongoing foreign engagements, insisting that he remains focused on governance despite the commencement of All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries on Friday.
In a post shared on social media, Keyamo said Tinubu is prioritising national development by engaging global partners abroad, even as political activities intensify back home.
“In the midst and month of intense political activities back home, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains admirably focused on governance, engaging global partners for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians,” he wrote.

The minister also took a swipe at opposition figures, accusing them of being distracted by internal debates over zoning arrangements and alleged one-term agreements ahead of the 2027 elections.
“His opponents are having sleepless nights with ‘zoning’ and fake ‘one-term’ promises, running around like headless chickens,” Keyamo added.
Tinubu is currently out of the country on official engagements, including participation in high-level economic meetings, at a time the APC is beginning its primary processes across the country.
