The House of Representatives yesterday approved the 2026 appropriation of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) amounting to N479.5billion.
The approval followed the clause-by-clause consideration in the Committee of Supply, presided over by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.
T h e N479,508,260,000.00 total budget consists of N124,440,652,000.00 for Recurrent Expenditure, N26,779,045,000.00 is for Capital Expenditure, N32,011,492, 000 is for Special Projects while the sum of N20,000,000,000 is for Transfer to Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF).
The sum of N276, 277, 071. 000 is earmarked for Transfer to federal government for the financial year ending 31 December, 2026. Personnel Cost is to gulp N29,973,373, Travel Costs N7,229,756, Operational Costs N28,450,950, Administration Costs N11,533,054, Spectrum Expenses N6,929,131.
