Dagogo Hails S’Court Ruling, Says ADC Nigeria’s Only Hope

A former member of the House of Representatives, Dr Farah Dagogo, on Thursday commended the Supreme Court’s ruling, which restored the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the party.

A statement issued by the chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) expressed confidence that the ruling would further reaffirm the public’s faith in the judiciary.

Dagogo described the Supreme Court’s decision as a reflection of the will of the Nigerian people, who are seeking positive transformation for the country.

He emphasised that the ADC’s growing popularity and the widespread jubilation that followed the court’s judgment are indicative of Nigerians’ desire for a better future, particularly as the 2027 elections approach.

According to the former federal lawmaker, with the ruling, the ADC now faces a pivotal moment, as the party represents the hopes and aspirations of millions of Nigerians grappling with ongoing economic struggles, insecurity, and poor governance.

He urged the party to remain united and focused on the larger goal of providing a viable alternative to the current political landscape.

“It is now essential for the ADC to prioritise unity and collaboration. The party must avoid internal conflicts and focus on assembling a strong team of capable leaders who can address Nigeria’s pressing challenges, ” Dagogo said.

Dagogo further emphasised that the ADC has a unique opportunity to lay the groundwork for a brighter future, with increasing numbers of Nigerians trusting the party as a credible platform for achieving economic stability, security, and national prosperity.

He also expressed gratitude to the Nigerian people for their support of the Senator David Mark-led leadership, particularly in the face of ongoing legal challenges aimed at undermining the party’s participation in the 2027 elections.

“The Supreme Court’s ruling is a victory for the will of the people and a fresh opportunity for the ADC to continue its mission as the main opposition party.

“It is now crucial for all aspirants to put the interests of Nigerians above personal ambitions and work together to secure the future of the country, ” he added.

Dagogo further underscored the significant expectations placed on the ADC, urging the party to live up to the trust and goodwill it has received from the Nigerian public.

“The celebration that followed Thursday’s judgment speaks volumes. Nigerians are deeply invested in the ADC and are looking to the party to lead meaningful change, ” he pointed out.
