Ebonyi Coordinators Donate N50m For Purchase Of Nomination Forms For Gov Nwifuru

The Forum of Coordinators in Ebonyi State, in conjunction with Management Committee members, has donated N50 million to the State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the purchase of the nomination form for Governor Francis Nwifuru.

The Chairman of the forum, Hon. Chidi Ogbonna, stated this on Monday at the APC party secretariat while presenting the cheque to the Chairman of the APC, Chief Stanley Emegha.

Ogbona, who doubles as Coordinator of Ominyi Development Centre, said that Nwifuru has delivered unprecedented development across communities in the state and deserves re-election.

He said that the decision followed what he termed measurable and people-oriented governance outcomes, recorded by the present administration in the state.

“We are here to demonstrate solidarity with His Excellency and reaffirm our confidence in his leadership.

“As coordinators at the grassroots, we interface directly with the people and can attest that the dividends of democracy are visible and impactful across hinterland communities,” he said.

He added that beyond the financial support, the forum had activated its mobilisation structures across wards and polling units to galvanise voter turnout and secure victory for the governor in 2027.

According to him, “ongoing infrastructure projects, particularly in road construction and rural development, span the three senatorial zones, strengthening the administration’s development agenda and political standing ahead of the elections”

In a remark,  the APC State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, commended the Coordinators for what he described as a demonstration of loyalty and political foresight and urged them to intensify grassroots engagement.

“You must translate this show of support into effective voter mobilisation, the party expects results at the polls, which requires sustained engagement, strategic communication and unwavering commitment at the grassroots level,”

“Emegha opined, “We know you have the competence, and we know you have the voter privilege to compete with other political parties’

Contributing, the Chairman of the endorsement planning committee, Hon Ejike Agbo, who is also Coordinator of Ohaukwu Development Centre, said the endorsement signalled early consolidation of grassroots political structures in support of the incumbent administration.

He added that the development highlights growing political alignments within the state as stakeholders begin positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Agbo noted that party loyalists and grassroots operatives would play a key role in shaping the emerging electoral landscape, citing Nwifuru’s achievements within its first tenure as a driving factor behind the support.
