Manchester City are currently in talks with the Premier League regarding possible changes to two of its remaining fixtures, amid concerns that the schedule could influence the outcome of the title race.
According to a BBC Sport report on Tuesday, the proposed adjustments are linked to City’s qualification for the FA Cup final, which coincides with a key period in the Premier League run-in and has created a fixture clash.
One of the matches under review is City’s away trip to AFC Bournemouth, initially set for May 17.
That game is now expected to be rescheduled because it falls on the same day as the FA Cup final.
The club is also awaiting confirmation of a new date for their home clash with Crystal Palace, a fixture that was previously postponed from March and has not yet been rescheduled by league officials.

Several scheduling options are reportedly on the table. One suggestion would see Crystal Palace travel to the Etihad Stadium on May 13, followed by the Bournemouth away match on May 19.
If adopted, this arrangement would place City in a congested sequence of matches around the FA Cup final at Wembley, potentially resulting in three games within seven days.
City are also believed to be considering an alternative sequence, which could see them face Bournemouth on May 12 and Crystal Palace on May 19.
That version of the schedule would provide more recovery time ahead of the FA Cup final and ensure both remaining league fixtures are played at home.
However, the final decision is complicated by UEFA scheduling constraints, which restrict the availability of certain dates and reduce flexibility in the fixture calendar.
The developments are being closely observed by Arsenal, who remain in direct contention with City in the Premier League title race. The timing of matches and recovery periods could play a significant role in determining how the season concludes.
