The Reds were far from dominant throughout, even registering fewer shots on target, but proved clinical when it mattered to maintain their strong run of form.

Any lingering nerves were finally settled deep into stoppage time by Florian Wirtz, who produced a moment of quality with a superb sliced half-volley that flew into the top-left corner, sealing the victory in style.
