Datti Declares Support For Ex-Kaduna Gov For Senator

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Vice Chairman (North-West), Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad, has declared support for a former governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, as the party’s candidate for the Zone 1 senatorial seat.

Datti, popularly known as Babawo, in a press release on Saturday, said Ramalan Yero is eminently qualified to represent the Kaduna North Senatorial District as he possesses the right credentials for the seat.

This is as he even expressed his readiness to campaign and mobilise vigorously for the success of the party at all levels in Kaduna State.

Datti, a former four-time member of the House of Representatives for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, equally thanked Governor Uba Sani for endorsing the former governor, noting that he made the right decision.

“I want to use this medium to express my profound support for the candidature of our former governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, to become our party’s candidate for Kaduna Zone 1.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Ramalan Yero has all it takes to represent Zone 1 adequately and effectively. As a former commissioner, a former deputy governor, and a former governor, all in our dear state, he is more than qualified to represent us in the Senate.

“Since he joined our dear party, Yero has been a loyal and committed member of the APC. His resilience and dedication have earned him a place as a politician to reckon with. I assure all our stakeholders that I will mobilise for him and other candidates of our dear party to emerge victorious during the 2027 general elections.

“I extend my deepest appreciation to His Excellency, our dear governor, a visionary leader, Senator Uba Sani, for providing the right leadership in our dear state. I applaud him for his endorsement of Yero,” Datti said.

The APC National Vice Chairman called on all the APC loyalists in Zone 1 and Kaduna State to support all the party’s preferred candidates during the forthcoming primaries and ensure their victory at the general polls.
