Buhari’s Son Meets Gov Radda, Declares Interest In Katsina Reps Seat


Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari, son of the lae former President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency in Katsina State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Yusuf Buhari made the declaration during a courtesy visit to Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, at the Government House in Katsina.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Musa Haro described Yusuf Buhari as a committed and patriotic leader.

He noted that his ambition reflects the desire of constituents for effective representation and grassroots development.

Also lending support, Abdullahi Aliyu, a member of the House of Representatives, expressed confidence in Yusuf Buhari’s capacity to deliver responsive leadership, while urging unity within the APC.

Similarly, the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seeds Council, Fatihu Muhammad, disclosed the aspirant’s readiness to serve, emphasizing his focus on youth empowerment and community development.

The Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, commended the move, describing it as a reflection of increased youth participation in governance and leadership.

In his response, Governor Radda welcomed the development and reiterated his administration’s commitment to fairness, unity, and internal democracy within the APC.

He advised Yusuf to remain focused, consult widely, and uphold integrity throughout the political process.
