My Lavish Spending Nearly Made Me Bankrupt


Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has revealed he almost went broke due to his extravagant lifestyle.

Speaking in an interview with YouTuber, Korty EO, Shmurda claimed that supporting and accommodating his friends’ extravagant lifestyles depleted his finances.

The singer further revealed that he made careless financial mistakes and bought unneeded things, such as buying several cars to impress his buddies.

He said the experience made him wiser with his finances, and he’s now more cautious with his spending.

“I used to have a lot of money, but I rushed things. I wish I were wise then. I was just buying things extravagantly, things I eventually did not need.

“At this point, as I am getting new money, I have to think about every move I want to take. I was accommodating up to ten of my friends back then, and we were all receiving female visitors.

“I bought three cars at once just so that my friends would go out with me in convoy. I was reckless,” he added.
