Boluwaduro LG Flags Off Road Grading Across Communities

The Chairman of Boluwaduro Local Government in Osun State, Alhaji Bayo Oyekanmi, has flagged off the grading of community roads across the ten wards of the council area as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure and ease movement for residents.

The flag-off ceremony was conducted on behalf of the Chairman by the Vice Chairman, Esther Boluwaji Alani.

In a statement released by Saheed Omokanye, the council said the initiative was aimed at improving rural accessibility and supporting economic activities across communities.

According to the statement, the Vice Chairman, while speaking at the event, reiterated the administration’s commitment to grassroots development and infrastructure renewal.

“This road grading exercise is part of our commitment to improving infrastructure across our communities. We understand the importance of good roads to our farmers, traders and residents, and that is why the local government is undertaking this project,” she said.

She added that the project would ease transportation challenges and enhance economic activities within the local government.

“The roads being graded connect communities to farms and markets, and this will make movement easier for our people,” she said.

The statement listed some of the roads scheduled for grading to include Oke Iyalode to Igbodu village road, Oba Akinsowon Street to Fasheun Compound, Inurin Street to Kayode Ogunsami Street, Fasheun to Itswaju Club House Street, and Eesa’s Compound to Mr. Gani Olarenwaju Street.

Residents in some of the affected communities welcomed the development, noting that poor road conditions had long affected movement and economic activities in the areas.
